Independent mortgage banks have compelling opportunities for growth but face funding challenges which we can help them solve.

  • They have opportunities to increase the size of their production platforms (generating increased sales) and add to their servicing portfolios (generating additional income).
  • They can retain mortgage servicing rights (MSR) at price levels which produce excellent long-term cash flow and returns, adding significantly to franchise value with the further potential for capital gains. The tax wedge on MSR retention is significant and frequently underestimated.
  • They can add new production offices or expand wholesale or correspondent networks due to pricing advantages over smaller competitors and ability to better cope with regulatory burdens.
